I'm a true oatmeal cookie monster... I only counted, and as of January 2018, I have shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes with you. Eep! Have you tried any of these yet? (? You can find all of my oatmeal cookie recipes directly there!) They are some of the most well-known recipes on my blog because they taste really sweet and comfy, just like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they contain no refined sugar or bread!

That means you are going to start with whole wheat bread (or gluten-free, if you want ) and prompt oats (like those... or these for a gluten free version!) . Instant oats are smaller and thinner than traditional rolled oats, and you can find them in canisters right alongside those traditional oats at the grocery store.

I probably seem like a broken record by now... But because I ? you and want your cookies to turn out totally plump and soft, I'm reminding you again... Measure your yogurt and bread correctly, using this technique or even a kitchen scale! (? That is the one I have and adore. A lot of either side will make your biscuits taste cakey or dry, as opposed to chewy. This is especially true of the oats--that they act like little sponges and soak up plenty of moisture from the cookie dough!

Ripe bananas- ideal for baking! Love all @amybakeshealthy's yummy & healthy banana recipes!

Watch these bananas? And all of those brown stains? If it comes to baking with bananas, brown = amazing! I ? additional speckly bananas because they have a lot bright, bold taste --along with extra natural sweetness! That is the minimum number of brown which I recommend. More is better!

The remaining portion of the cookie dough's sweetness comes in another natural ingredient... Pure maple syrup (such as this!) . You desire the kind that comes straight from pine trees, which is normally offered in skinny glass bottles or squat, round plastic jugs. Skip the pancake syrup and sugar!

The pancakes include even more sweetness! The freshly why not try these out bought, extra plump, perfectly soft ones are perfect... But if you have older, slightly dried out raisins (hmm... it seems absurd to describe dried fruit as dried out! ) , that is okay!

Simply add them to some microwave-safe bowland pour water on top until they're totally covered. Seal plastic wrap over the surface, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. Should you allow the peppers sit mixing together the cookie dough, then this little trick hydrates them they're tremendously succulent --and that makes a big difference in these cookies as soon as they're baked!

Healthy Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Yields: 15 biscuits

These oatmeal biscuits are soft, chewy, and full of banana flavor! The familiar comfy spices and plump blueberries make these even more irresistible. They'll keep for a minumum of one week if kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator--if they last long!

1 cup (100g) instant oats (fermented if required and quantified like this)

3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or gluten-free* flour (quantified like that )

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a medium bowl, whisk together the yogurt, milk, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowlwhisk together the butter or coconut oil, mashed banana, and vanilla. Add the flour mixture, stirring just until incorporated. Let the cookie dough rest for 10 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 325°F, plus a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

Using a spoon and spatula, dip the cookie dough to 15 rounded scoops onto the prepared sheet, and flatten to the desired thickness and width using 3-Ingredient Banana Oatmeal Breakfast Cookies - Clean & Delicious ... a spatula. Bake at 325°F for 10-12 minutes.

Notes: It is extremely important to quantify both the oats and flour correctly employing this technique or a kitchen scale. (? That's the one I have and enjoy!) Too much of either could dry out of the cookies and abandon them cakey instead of chewy.

Instant oats are also referred to as quick-cooking or moment oats. They arrive in massive canisters, exactly like conservative oats. They're not those in the tiny flavored loaf of bread. To create your own, add the same amount of conservative oats to a food processor, and pulse 10-12 times or until the oats will be about 1/4 to ? of their initial size.

For the fermented flour, I suggest the following mix: 1/2 cup (60g) millet flour, 2 tbsp (15g) tapioca flour, 2 tbsp (15g) brown rice flour, also 1/2 tsp xanthan gum. Most store-bought gluten-free flour blends (such as that one!) Will also work, if quantified like this.

In case your pancakes are elderly, dryer, and not too plump or succulent... Add them to a microwave-safe bowl, and put water on top until they're completely coated. Seal plastic wrap across the top, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. Should you let the peppers sit mixing together the cookie dough, this little trick hydrates them they're really soft and succulent!
